Hrithik Roshan Set to Direct ‘Krrish 4’ as Yash Raj Films Joins the Iconic Indian Superhero Franchise

Hrithik Roshan is set to step into the director’s chair for the first time with “Krrish 4.” Having led the charge as the star of all three previous blockbuster installments, the actor will now take on the dual role of director and lead actor in the highly awaited sequel.

The “Krrish” franchise, spearheaded by Hrithik Roshan, stands as Bollywood’s trailblazing venture into the superhero genre and one of its most daring cinematic undertakings. It originated in 2003 with “Koi… Mil Gaya,” "a sci-fi tale that beautifully intertwined Hollywood-inspired wonder with the heart of Indian storytelling.". The series gained momentum with 2006’s “Krrish” and reached new heights with 2013’s “Krrish 3,” firmly positioning Roshan’s superhero as India’s answer to Superman, enriched with Bollywood flair. Under the direction of Rakesh Roshan and produced by FilmKraft Productions, the films masterfully balanced dazzling visual effects with mythology-infused storytelling. Featuring shape-shifting adversaries, telekinetic showdowns, and profound moral themes, the franchise has become a spectacle of grandeur steeped in emotional resonance.
